Diagnosis

With the frustration of wanting to start a family, I have seen many doctors since 2008. After numerous testing, consultations and blood works, I have been diagnosed with PCOS. PCOS stands for Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome. I was very emotional to have the ultrasound performed and see all the cyst around my ovaries. Of course there was tears of joy, but also anger. How can I have went to so many doctors and no could have figured this out? Especially knowing now that some of the doctors I have seen specialize in PCOS? I have learned through this process that it is great to have a second, third or even a fourth opinion. If you know your body and you are aware that something is wrong, then seek help.

I refuse to be the type of patient that you can just give me a diagnosis, hand me medication and send me on my way. I want to know more information about PCOS and why doesn't anyone talk about it? There is a lot of website you can go to to receive the information, however there is no type of support groups in my area. It has come to me to start on own awareness foundation is my community, I just don't know how far I can go with it.

Any ideas?

Reach out to your doctors and just probe them. Google how to start these types of things and of course, the first thing is...PRAY for God's Guidance. No one can provide more information than Him.
