Reevaluate your investments

When you have a portfolio of investments, you tend to go in from time to time to see the actual value. You want to see the gain verses losses and if you need to change the percentage of investments in each category. Just like in finance, you have to evaluate your investments in people. Are you more invested into others than they are invested in you? Do you tend to pour into people more than they do for you? Or are your friends invested more I'm you than you are to them?

People are in your life for either a season or a lifetime. You have to take a step back, be honest with yourself, and truly see if you are surrounded with the right people. Some people that are in your life are not considered your friends. Some are considered your associates. You will make time for those that are a priority to you but they do not do the same in return. So just like your portfolio, it's time to look at your full investments and make adjustments.

To protect yourself and your heart you have to be honest with yourself. You have to see and know who is truly for you in your life. Also, be honest to know and understand that some people in your life also go through seasons themselves and can not be there for you in the same magnitude you are able to. This is a learning and growing moment for them as well as yourself.

So my challenge to you is to evaluate your investments and see what needs to be removed or adjusted. Really take your time with this because you do not want to do this based on emotions. Do this from a place of honesty and maturity.

Let me know how it goes once it's completed.
