Who Is Your Employer?

Many people are like myself that from time to time, you are not happy with your current work environment.  This can be especially difficult when deep in your heart, you know your self worth and this is not being honored. Have you sat back and asked yourself why do I work here? Or why am I still here? You tell yourself all the time how much you hate your job and its time to move on. Do you wonder why that door has not opened for you?

Instead of complaining daily and wasting energy that can be used for your purpose, ask God who do you need to help and reach while you are there. Wherever my job location may be, I know that it is for a season and a purpose. Someone is waiting for me there and I need to be ready for them.  If you want an increase or a better job, do you think you will receive it with an attitude as if someone owes you something? If your praying for God to make a shift in your life, its time to shift the way you think. The bible says Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2 NIV.

So look at where you are and start treating your job as if God is your employer and Jesus is the manager. Stop doing what is in your "job description" and go above and beyond that. And don't do this with the intention of pleasing people, do this to please the lord. Just remember that if God can not trust in in the least, he will not trust in with many.

If your not working right now and searching for a job, volunteer with a company or your local shelter, food bank or church and serve until that door opens for employment. If your a student, this applies to you also. Put time and effort into your work as if Jesus is grading the assignments.
My prayer for you as you read this and myself as I write this, that God will open doors that no man can open and close doors that no mane can close this year. Just remember, in order for you to grow, know who you are working for.

God Bless †
